Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her new position she will cover everything from NASA as well as the new Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise to space tourism. Kristin's parents are both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space and has now employed as an White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the Biden and Trump Administrations' positions in space matters. In that period, she also covered impeachment trials for the president and the presdiential 2020 campaign, and two attempts by the administration to stop the spread of coronavirus. She also traveled with President Trump and Vice President Trump extensively. This included a secret visit to Afghanistan. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter before joining CBS in 2015. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in 2014. The company specialized in making documentaries for corporate clients, which included Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science of Journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
